Jaisalmer

The hotels we have chosen in Jaisalmer make the most of this medieval fort and its incredible architectural heritage. we stay within the fort wherever possible, in small-scale, haveli conversions wherever possible. A haveli is a merchants house, which are found all over Rajasthan and are an intimate scale that make perfect boutique hotels. Normally no more than 12 rooms, with fellow guests who appreciate the skill in restoring an old stone house and the rooftop view over the city.

Jaipur

The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur has two faces. One, the Old City with its partial city wall, city gates and broad avenues. Bazaars, the City Palace, the Palace of the Winds. A city of contrasts, where you might easily come face to face with a camel, a rickshaw or an uber. The ancient forts of Amber, Nahagarh and Jaigarh are romantic architectural history to the modern city with its tower blocks, offices and jewellery shops. Our hotel choices here tend to be in the quieter residential areas, with converted havelis forming family hotels that we know and love. Rooftop swimming pools and comfortable bedrooms. The Rose City.

Jodphur

The Blue City. After Jasialmer, the other most amazing palace-fortress complex is that of Meherangarh in Jodhpur. A city standing on the edge of the Thar Desert, a old city with winding streets painted in the kind of cool blue you can only imagine. Antique shops. Havelis with character and boutique hotels we can relax in.
